The relationship between Literature and Language.
         
Literature has a universal appeal, anyone in any part of the world can without difficulty appreciate a book written in any language with the assumption that he or she understands the language. Literature is a fundamentally an expression of life through the medium of language. Therefore, since literature is expressed through language, one cannot understand it unless he understand the language and the socio-cultural background from which it emerges.
The relationship between Literature and Language Learning.
          Literature will increase all language skills because literature present language that illustrates ‘a particular dialect’ which is embedded within a social context. Literature is ideal for developing an awareness of language use. Literature is an ideal vehicle for illustrating language use and for introducing cultural assumption. Literature, should be taught when the students is advanced in his control of language, and in his understanding of the culture and literature.
